Commitment to Safety
Ottawa Boat Rentals is a professionally managed operation carrying full commercial liability insurance. We strictly adhere to all Transport Canada regulations regarding vessel safety, mandatory equipment, and operational standards. Our fleet is professionally maintained to ensure seaworthiness, and every rental includes a comprehensive pre-launch safety briefing.
Weather & Cancellations
We constantly monitor marine weather conditions. If unsafe conditions (high winds, lightning, heavy storms) exist at the time of your rental, we will reschedule your booking for a future date. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance receive a full refund.
Alcohol & Cannabis
The consumption of alcohol or cannabis (in any form) is strictly prohibited for all operators and passengers while the boat is in your possession or underway. Impairment while in care and control of, or operating a boat is a criminal offense. Any evidence of impairment will result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
Life Jackets & Gear
Your boat is equipped with a complete Transport Canada safety kit.
PFDs: We provide a limited supply of Universal Adult PFDs free of charge. Important: You must bring your own properly fitting PFDs for children, infants, or specialty sizes.
