Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about renting, safety, and our policies.
Booking & Payments
The fastest and most secure way to book is through our online booking portal. You can view real-time availability for all boats, select your dates, and secure your reservation instantly. For complex multi-day bookings or special requests, please contact us directly.
Yes. A security deposit is required for all rentals to cover potential damages or late fees. The standard method is a pre-authorization hold on a major credit card (Visa/Mastercard/Amex) at the time of pickup. The hold is released upon safe return of the vessel.
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay for online bookings. For remaining balances or add-ons at the time of pickup, we accept Credit, Debit, Cash, and E-Transfer.
Yes. The primary renter who signs the agreement and provides the security deposit must be at least 21 years old and have a valid government-issued photo ID matching the name on the credit card used to book.
Cancellations & Weather
We understand plans change. Our policy is as follows:
-
48 Hours Notice: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your rental start time will receive a full refund.
-
Less than 48 Hours: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the start time are subject to a fee equal to 50% of the rental cost.
-
No-Shows: Failure to arrive for your rental without notice will result in a forfeiture of the full rental fee.
-
Your safety is our top priority. In the event of unsafe boating conditions (such as high winds, lightning, or heavy storms) at the time of your rental launch, we will gladly work with you to reschedule your booking for a future date. Please note: We do not offer refunds for weather-related cancellations, but we are committed to ensuring you get your full day on the water at a later, safer time.
Our fleet is professionally maintained to minimize issues. In the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown not caused by operator error, we will assess the situation and may offer a rental extension or refund at our discretion.
Requirements & Towing
A Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) is the standard requirement for our rentals.
High-Performance Boats (e.g., The Cruiser): A valid PCOC and proof of previous boating experience are mandatory. We cannot issue temporary licenses for these vessels due to their size and horsepower.
Low-Horsepower Boats: For specific smaller vessels (like The Scout or The Angler), we may be able to issue a Transport Canada Rental Boat Safety Checklist to act as a temporary license. This is subject to availability and the operator demonstrating sufficient competency during the safety briefing.
Yes. You are welcome to tow our boats to any permitted lake. To do so, your vehicle must be equipped with:
1. A standard 2-inch Ball hitch.
2. A working 4-Way Flat wiring connection for lights. Important: Our staff will inspect your hitch connection before releasing the boat. Vehicles without the proper equipment cannot tow our trailers.
Inventory & Policies
No. We operate on a "Full-to-Full" policy. Your boat will be provided with a full tank of premium fuel. You must return it full. If the boat is returned less than full, we will refuel it for you for the cost of the fuel plus a refueling service charge.
We provide a limited supply of Standard Universal Adult life jackets with every rental.
We do not stock children's, infant, or oversized (XL+) life jackets. You are legally required to have a properly fitting PFD for every person on board. If you have children or require special sizes, you must bring your own. Passengers without a fitted PFD will not be permitted to board.
Yes, we are currently pet-friendly! We love seeing dogs on the water. We simply ask that you clean up after your pet. Excessive shedding or mess requiring deep cleaning may incur a cleaning fee. Note: We do not provide life jackets for pets.
